“THANKSGIVING RHYME”
#9 Thematic, Raddest, Baddest
after two long months, the pilgrims had enough.
They sailed their way to the usa in hopes of better stuff.
Survival sure was tough . They called it Plymouth rock, t
he natives called it home, the two worlds met and alliances were grown
the fields were sown and soon together gratitude was rightly known.
They feasted in November giving thanks for what was shown.
It was kindness it was grace how they welcomed the white race.
In A foreign land the puritans were starving for a taste.
By the grace of god the harvest was enough to give him praise,
they made themselves at home and surely flourished in the place
they learned the ways and soon enough the natives got out of the way.
Now we save a day for giving thanks for what was taken it was Abe
 who said each state would recognize the holiday, now we imitate that day
 with what we place upon the ta-ble like the turkey that they slay
and the pumpkin pie they made, yams and beets and other treats
this feast is dedicated to the slack the masses taste cause ladies always do the slayin'
